FAQ

How many theaters would I need in order to get my money back?

It all depends on the length of your theatrical release.

You only need one theater if your film will be shown for less than 2 weeks.

Two theaters are required if your film will be shown for more than two weeks.

How many movies is Hollywood making in a single year?

Each year, Hollywood studios produce approximately 3,000 films. That's right, 3000!

Hollywood spends billions on film advertising. They spend millions creating them. They also spend millions promoting them. However, how many actually make it to the theaters?

It is likely that the answer is between 200-300. So what happens to all those other 2,700+ films? Most of them are either released direct-to-video or just sit in storage.

Some of them may not be seen. Some of them have been selected for distribution via Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu Plus, iTunes, Google Play, etc.

So why don't we see more of them? Why aren't they released in theaters? They're too expensive.

They would be released in theaters if they were less expensive to produce.

I can help. I will assist you in finding the best possible method to release your movie in theaters.

I'll show you how to maximize your return on investment (ROI) and increase your chances of seeing your movie in theaters.

Let's face the facts...

It can be difficult to get your movie into theaters. The process is long, complex and full of legalities.

It could also be costly before you even start.

The time frame in which your film can be distributed is also very limited.

There's not enough time between the moment a film is completed and its theatrical debut.

Is Hollywood more important than Bollywood?

Producing a movie that is well-received by the public is the biggest challenge for film producers.

Problem is that many movies are competing for people's money and time. If you don't stand out, your chances of being seen are slim.

But what makes a movie popular? What makes an actor well-known? Or a director? It's not just talent - it's also luck. The best actors may be the best, but they will not succeed if they are writing bad scripts.

Films can be divided into two categories: blockbuster films with large budgets or independent productions. Production and distribution of blockbuster movies costs hundreds of millions. They are typically made by huge studios who want to ensure that their movies reach a wide audience. However, these films with big budgets appeal mostly to older viewers.

Independent films are usually smaller productions that can be funded by investors or individuals. These films are often targeted at niche markets and appeal to particular tastes. These films are often less expensive to produce or market. They aren't always more affordable to watch, however. It is actually very difficult to find most indie movies.

So, the question is, do we need both kinds of films? Is it necessary to have both blockbuster and independent movies? Hollywood is more important than Bollywood. Hollywood produces more movies than India every year.

Why is Hollywood calling this Hollywood?

D.W. Griffith created the first movie industry in California in 1887. It was named for its Los Angeles location, also known as Hollywood at that time.

The name stuck because it was such an exciting place for people to visit. People would come from all over just to see what was happening there.

Today, Hollywood is still very much part of our culture. Movies, television shows and music videos are all part of our culture. And we call them all "Hollywood."

Statistics

  • By 1911, approximately 60 to 70 percent of films imported into Great Britain were American. (en.wikipedia.org)
  • In 2019, that percentage increased to 40 percent. (en.wikipedia.org)
  • Women account for 51 percent of moviegoers. (en.wikipedia.org)
  • The author of the study noted that "The percentage of female speaking roles has not increased much since the 1940s when they hovered around 25 percent to 28 percent." (en.wikipedia.org)
  • If we translate this to a percentage, we get 28%, so let's be generous and say that ‘Hollywood studios' release about ⅓ of the movies released in the U.S. and Canada each year. (glitteratilobotomy.com)
