The last few months have been a sad time in country music, as four notable country musicians have died, including Betty Amos, Marty Robbins, and Daryle Singletary. Daryle Singletary

Country music mourned the loss of a beloved singer/songwriter on Feb. 12. Daryle Singletary, 46, passed away from unknown causes. He was due to perform his final show on Saturday. There is no evidence that the singer was sick. Fans continue to process the news and pay tribute to the country legend.

Sudie Callaway

Sudie Callaway performed on many hit country records and was a fixture of Nashville's Music Row. Dolly Parton and Marty Robbins were among her many performances. Sudie Callaway was six years when she sang for the first time at a Twila barn dance. She was a well-known singer and played the bass with many of her bandmates. She recorded her first solo singles in the end for independent labels.

Betty Amos

The list of Betty Amos country music deaths this year is long, but some of us will be saddened by the loss. While her work is well-loved by many, her death is especially tragic. She is survived her husband, Rachel and Cheri and Madison, one of her daughters. Concepcion, her parents, and Carlos, her two brothers, Ed, and Victor, are also gone.

Phil Ledbetter

Phil Leadbetter, a resonator guitar player, died suddenly last week at age 52. He was born in Knoxville. At the age of twelve, he started playing the instrument and graduated from Gibbs High School. In April 2011, he was diagnosed as having Hodgkins Lymphoma. This is a type cancer that attacks the lymph nodes. Leadbetter was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma after he had been through five rounds of battle. He is now a five time Hodgkins Lymphoma survivors. During clinical trials, Opdivo was given to Leadbetter for the fifth time.

Jimmy Capps

Jimmy Capps is the latest in a long line of country music icons to die. The smooth sound of this country guitar legend is what made him so popular. His work was featured on a number of hits, including Ray Price's, Charlie Rich's, and Eddy Arnold's records. Capps was an integral part of North Carolina's music scene. Fans across the globe have been affected by his passing in 2018


Steve Coy

Steve Coy (drummer and keyboardist for Dead Or Alive) died this weekend. Coy isn't the only one to die in the last two years. Last year, the band lost singer Pete Burns due to a heart attack. Coy was actually the longest serving member in the band after Burns. He is a unique member of the Dead Or Alive band.

Janka Nabay

Janka Nabay, the Sierra Leonean country music musician, has been killed. Janka Nabay was born in Africa and grew up in the USA before returning to Sierra Leone last year. He was a traditional musician, specializing in Temne music and the use of bamboo flutes. He was known by the name of King Bubu Music. He combined traditional Temne music, with electronic instrumentation.

C.W. Vrtacek

This year has seen many memorable moments in country music. Despite a steady stream of quality music, there were also several sad moments involving the deaths of two respected musicians. "WAR" author C.W. Vrtacek as well as Daryle Singletary, country singer/songwriter, were among those who lost their battle this year. Singletary died at 46 years old and is survived only by his wife and their children.

Hardy Fox

The Residents, one of the most beloved and influential country music groups of all time, recently lost co-founder and chief composer Hardy Fox. The group formed in 1969 but operated under complete secrecy for most of its existence. Only in 2015 did Hardy Fox reveal his real identity, revealing that he was actually a founding member of the group. Residents' music is synonymous with live performances, top hats, and eyeball helmets.

Stan Lee

Fans are facing a difficult time due to the recent deaths of Jimmy Carter and Stan Lee, two of the most beloved comic book creators in the world. Both men died unexpectedly in Los Angeles, at the age of just 76. Stan Lee was an old collaborator with Jack Kirby. Steve Ditko also contributed to the creations such iconic comic characters as Thor, Iron Man, or Hulk. Lee also created unique characters like the Fantastic Four or Black Panther.

The average amount of time it takes to tour the Hollywood Walk Of Fame is approximately 2 hours.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame began in 1960. It consists of 1,400 stars embedded on the sidewalk at Grauman's Chinese Theater. It honors those who have made significant contributions to television, film, music, theater and sports.
