Jimmie Rodgers was one the most famous country artists. In May 1933, while on a recording session at New York City's Apollo Theatre, Rodgers suffered pulmonary hemorhage. The great Depression had led to record sales being cut and decreased theater attendance. Jimmie was prevented from going on international tours and working on movie projects by the Depression. In the spring 1933, he tried to book appearances for himself. He went to New York to complete his contract with RCA Victor. There he suffered a hemorhage and died in a New York hospital.

Houston, Texas was home to one of the greatest country singers ever. He was born there in 1938. He was originally known by the name Kenneth Ray. He was part of several bands in his early years and then started his solo career in 1976. He recorded 39 studio albums, including several solo and collaborative ones, as well as holiday albums. He is a living legend, and an important part of country's music history.

It takes approximately 2 hours to visit the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame was established in 1960 and consists of 1,400 stars embedded into the sidewalk outside Grauman's Chinese Theater. It commemorates famous people who contributed to film, television, music, theater, sports, art, science, politics, philanthropy, literature, fashion, architecture, education, and other cultural fields.
